Time for some more hott decklist action.
This week im gonna be looking at what im currently running in standard.

not that ive played much standard of late. but theres a few events upcoming in January i've got my eye on (for example)

a Flurry of Activity! Friday Decklists.

So, another excellent article from Mr Levin got me thinking about ancient tomb into chalice of the void for legacy.
It's a strategy I'd picked up the cards for to build metalworker.dec. but that had turned out to be a disaster, so i quickly shelved those cards, but what he was saying made a whole lot of sense to me, if you can shut down the CMC 1's, you shut off a lot of cards in a lot of decks right now.


I can also get on board with his planeswalking love, so what am i looking to build?
some sort of deck that drops turn 1 chalice for 1 and then hits a planeswalker to win with. So i got thinking...

Mini Amsterdam Re-Post Report

So, 
We went to Amsterdam for the legacy grand prix, i felt pretty well prepared, i was comfortable with my deck and felt it could definitely win games.
however...

Laziness abound.

Not posted many entries of late, obviously.

miniatures gaming has taken a back seat to magic of late what with Innistrad generally being pretty cool and Grand Prix Amsterdam.

I'm feeling the toy soldiers at the moment though, gonna try and get more games in.

Been too lax in getting these written up so i'll just summarise the 2 games from day 2.

WHW geekend game 3 battle report

3rd (and final) game of the saturday was 1500 points against Dave P's blood angels

Trying to write battle reports for games that happened nearly 2 weeks ago is hard, note to self, in future, scribble em up in draft format quicker.

WHW geekend game 2 battle report

Second game of the weekend was warhammer fantasy at 2000 points. My tomb kings vs Wills Khorne daemons.

WHW geekend game 1 battle report

So my game 1 of the weekend was a 1500 point 40k battle, my dark eldar vs Dave G's salamanders.

The lists were something like as follows:

So, the 18th and 19th was a weekend of games based funs at warhammer world for myself and 5 chums/relatives. much 40k and fantasy was played, as well as some board game action in the hotel bar over some pints of boddingtons.

Bleurgh.

So, played my 4th game with new TK last night in a rematch with Toms skaven at 2500 points, I'm not going to bother with a proper battle report as it went that bad there wouldnt be much to write about.

I fielded a lvl 4 priest, a king, a lvl 2 priest and a prince on chariot, 40 archers, 60 warriors, 2 units of 3 chariots, a casket, a necrosphinx, a hierotitan, a catapult and the last 80 points went on 2 swarms.
Toms list was much improved on last time, much bigger units, a screaming bell and he'd dropped the artillery completely and added a 2nd hellpit.
The game was effectively over by the end of game turn 2.

So what went wrong?

Back from hols

So, back from a week in vegas. woop.
I Bought a dark eldar venom last night, its a nice kit, quite easy to build, its much more compact than the 2 i kitbashed previously.

I'll be trying to squeeze a few games in this week so will be battlereporting them as and when.

Double update! bone giant pics!

Thought id finally get around to taking some pics of the finally completed bone giant i started about 2 years ago. He's currently seeing use as a hierotitan but i would quite like to try and use a necrosphinx torso and some sort of statuey looking legs to make one of those in future. At which point this guy will make a fine necrolith colossus i guess.
