AKA The adventures of choppy the wonder-sphinx.
So, the 18th and 19th was a weekend of games based funs at warhammer world for myself and 5 chums/relatives. much 40k and fantasy was played, as well as some board game action in the hotel bar over some pints of boddingtons.
I'll be attempting to write up as detailed a battle report for each game i played over the two days as i can, but things might have got a little fuzzy, it was a long weekend!
It started early saturday with me oversleeping till gone 7am and not leaving to collect all those travelling with me until about an hour later than planned, we made good time though and hit warhammer world about half 11.
a coffee and cake later and i was purchasing a razorwing jetfighter to build on the spot and start playing.
Its a very nice kit with all of options from the book (as ive come to expect from the DE range). im itching to get it undercoated and start painting it, the one piece hull is a ncie canvas for some freehand.
The only criticism i could level at it was the lower hull was slightly tricky to fit to the upper hull once the air intake valves are on, but i put that as much down to me rushing it as anything else.
Played three games that afternoon/evening. 40k, my dark eldar vs dave g's salamanders. fantasy, my tomb kings vs wills khorne daemons and 40k again vs dave p's blood angels.
after that it was back to the hotel, dinner, drinks and board games in the bar, bang and ascension. top stuff.
Sunday we headed back to warhammer world after breakfast, i got a game of 40k in against wills daemons and a game of fantasy against toms skaven as a decider for our best of 3 series.
drove home, ate and slept.
